UPCOMING ZOOM EVENT:

December 2023: How to recognize burnout and avoid normalizing it

Monday, December 18 at 12pm EST

Join college counseling colleagues from across the country for an interactive discussion over Zoom.

BetterMynd’s “College Counseling Leaders Discuss This Series” is a recurring, remote meeting focused on bringing the community together for a focused participatory conversation on important topics in college counseling.

As we come to the close of the fall semester (and all that it required from you and your staff), this month’s Discuss This meeting is focused on how to recognize burnout and avoid normalizing it.

Hosted by Kate Wolfe-Lyga, BetterMynd’s VP of Clinical Operations and former SUNY Counseling Center Director, with guest Dr. Marcus Hotaling, Director, Eppler-Wolff Counseling Center at Union College, and President, Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors (AUCCCD).

The topic of burnout and not normalizing it comes from the American Council on Education (ACE) March 2023 brief: Let’s Talk: Senior Leadership, Student Mental Health, and Counseling Centers, written by Dr. Marcus Hotaling.

We highly encourage you to read the brief before this meeting and look forward to having your voice and perspective on this topic.

Cameras welcome, on or off – but come ready to engage!

About BetterMynd’s College Counseling Leaders Discuss This Series:

BetterMynd is providing this space because we believe the role of college counseling leadership on campus is critical and irreplaceable in ensuring students receive the mental health support they need.

Through this recurring series, we want to deepen our existing campus relationships, create new ones, and learn from this community of professionals. No sales pitch (we promise), just Kate, community, and salient topics.
